Food Poisoning & Traveller's Diarrhea Treatment in Kathmandu
Upset stomach is one of the most common problems for visitors to Nepal. Food poisoning and traveller's diarrhea cause nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and — most importantly — dehydration, which can quickly drain your energy and ruin your trip.
Kafal Care treats travellers at their hotel, Airbnb, or guesthouse in Kathmandu and across Nepal, so you can recover quickly without searching for a hospital while feeling unwell.
How We Treat It
A licensed doctor or nurse assesses your symptoms and hydration, and provides IV fluids for rapid rehydration, anti-nausea and anti-diarrheal medication where appropriate, and advice on diet and recovery. Most travellers feel substantially better within hours of rehydration.
When to Seek Urgent Care
Most cases settle with rest, fluids, and treatment. But seek prompt medical attention for high fever, blood in stool, severe or persistent vomiting, signs of significant dehydration (very little urine, dizziness, rapid heartbeat), or symptoms lasting more than a couple of days — our team will advise and escalate care if needed.
